Edinburgh Bungalow Court
Built in 1923, the Spanish Colonial Revival Edinburgh Bungalow Court offered affordable homes to Hollywood's dreamers. After a restoration that earned the LA Conservancy Founder's Award, Meridith Baer Home was brought in to stage the revitalized units.
This gem nearly vanished. In 2015, owners pushed demolition, but neighbors and preservationists rallied. Thanks to the Historic-Cultural Monument (HCM) designation in 2016, the clock stopped just in time. Following more than 8 years of uncertainty and demolition threats, a project to restore the Edinburgh Bungalow Court was completed in 2023. Now these beloved bungalows are breathing again.
For a landmark with nearly a century of history, we introduced a modern mood that complements its restored architecture. Blending original charm with contemporary livability, the design layers clean-lined furnishings, rich textures and a warm neutral palette to create a fresh, inviting atmosphere.
