Shigeru Ban is a Japanese architect renowned for his humanitarian work designing emergency shelters for disaster victims and refugees around the world. A Pritzker Architecture Prize winner, Ban is also famous for his unique commercial and residential structures.
His Metal Shutter Houses feature 20-foot upward-pivoting glass living room walls that, when open, create a seamless connection between each home’s interior and terrace.
We furnished the building’s penthouse with organic modern sophistication, sectioning its 46-foot great room into stylish living, lounging, and dining areas.
