Brianna Smith, our head of design in Florida, was interviewed about her vision for the project, her favorite part of the staging process, and her tips for furnishing luxury properties:

Meridith once told me that she likes to have something green and living in every room. Flowers, trees or green moss provide contrast and a more organic feel to any space.

Meridith Baer Home Featured at Houzz: 5 Living Rooms Designed for Conversation

Meridith Baer Home is featured in the recent Houzz editorial New This Week: 5 Living Rooms Designed for Conversation!

The piece spotlights living rooms with furniture arranged to “put the focus on people rather than on a TV screen.”

Our featured room is from a home we staged on Walden Drive in Beverly Hills. MBH designer Mariana Cronenbold shares her design inspiration with Houzz, as well has her challenges furnishing the room, and tips for working in any similar space:

Placing fewer pieces of furniture but having them be larger in scale helps make the room feel spacious and inviting… We feel this room succeeds because of its simplicity. The choice of a neutral palette and the intentional minimalism of the design lead to an overall feeling of quiet sophistication.

Meridith Baer Interviewed by Haute Residence

Meredith is interviewed in a recent story at Haute Residence!

The piece is called Meridith Baer Dishes On How She Began Her Home-Staging Empire + The Number One Design Rule She Lives By.

In it, Meridith discusses her staging process, from initial walkthrough of a property to final result; sums up Meridith Baer Home’s design philosophy; and reveals the foremost design rule she lives by:

Don’t overdo it. I think for any designer, you need to remember it’s not your home – you are creating a home for someone else and you need to give them space to envision themselves in the home (or actually move in!).

VIDEO: 6 Makena, Rancho Mirage, CA

Luxury staging by Meridith Baer Home is featured in this stunning video for 6 Makena, one of ten custom homes in the modern Makena development in Rancho Mirage, CA, near Palm Springs.

The house features sleek modern architecture, with no detail spared: Italian tile flooring, iceberg blue marble counters, an abalone pool and infinity spa, and expansive walls of sliders framing stunning views of San Jacintos and the surrounding desert.

We filled the property with contemporary furnishings, with a striking white palette warmed by leather accents, textured fabrics and rugs, and beautiful florals and artwork.

We staged the home for Joshua Pukini, AB Capital.

Meridith Baer Home Staged Coxhead House—an Historic Landmark in Northern California

San Mateo, CA is a Silicon Valley city better known for technology than history. But amidst its thriving contemporary culture sits a 19th century English Tudor home called Coxhead House that’s keeping the beauty and spirit of tradition alive.

Built in 1891 by noted British architect Ernest Albert Coxhead, the property is both a national and California state historic landmark. It was recently put on market, staged to sell by Meridith Baer Home!

The home, its sale, and our staging are featured in the latest issue of PUNCH magazine, in a story called Coxhead House: Window Into History. The piece details the house’s charming history and explores the inherent challenge in updating a traditional property for contemporary buyers.

Meridith Baer Home handled the staging and relished the assignment of conveying contemporary living in an historic setting. “We chose to honor the historic elements of the house and not fight it,” says designer Sabrina Ferrand. “You have to respect the home. You bring in certain pieces that nod to it, making the flow cohesive while acknowledging what’s there.”

We staged the listing for Scott Syme of Syme Group Real Estate Services.
